Ultrasound scan

This type of scan produces very good images and is a useful tool in finding the correct diagnosis. A very thin probe or telescopic tube about 10 cm long is inserted through the vagina. This gives a good picture of the thickness of the uterine lining, the size of the uterus and the structure of the tissue. And we can see if there are fibroids, polyps, cysts or thickening of the uterine wall. You'll be able to follow it all on a screen, and we'll tell you what we're doing and why.

This type of analysis is very useful in a number of exams:

INFERTILITY

Infertility can be caused by a number of factors. A scan can help us diagnose disturbances such as:

BLEEDING DISRUPTIONS

Your period can be irregular for several reasons. Often times, a test will diagnose the cause, for example:

PREGNANCY

To give you the safety you need when you are pregnant, we offer pregnancy scans. If you are pregnant after fertility treatment (insemination or IVF) at our clinic, you will automatically receive a free scan at week 7.
